Keller Williams Realty Inks Deal With CitiMortgage?

Hopefully this isn’t a sign of things to come.  Things are difficult enough for the real estate loan broker shops and now we have a prominant Realtor firm forming an alliance with one of the bid four gorillas.  Citi is indeed a big lender but they don’t offer all the mortgage products available.  The 1/2 percent downpayment loan?  They don’t have it.  The 203k loan family?  They don’t do it well.

I hope all Realtor firms don’t believe there is no longer a value in the lending broker community or maybe they think we are going away altogether.  We are still alive and kicking and we will not go down without a fight.

To do away with the mortgage broker lending option would just make the big four gorillas (BofA, Wells Fargo, Citi, and Chase) more powerful and ultimately make the loan process more expensive on the consumer, and give them less options and personal service would go right out the window.
